New products

Two new things I’m obsessed with.  First, Neutrogena makeup remover lotion!

Best. Stuff. Ever.

Spotted this at Wegman’s and while it was a little more pricey, I had to try it.  Glad I did because this stuff is AMAZING!  I’ve tried so many different types of eye makeup remover with so-so results.  Eventually I just stopped using it and would use my cream cleanser to remove my eye makeup.  This came to a halt when I bought my Clarisonic Mia and the instructions said to remove eye makeup prior to cleansing.  Plus I couldn’t bear to dirty my precious Clarisonic with mascara.  I’ve tried all brands and baby oil which has been a staple for my mom.  Nothing compares to this wonderful concoction.  I use the tiniest dab on a tissue and rub for a couple seconds.  Works that quick.  Then I dampen the tissues and wipe any remaining eye makeup.  This leaves absolutely no trace!  Usually I would find I didn’t remove everything while washing my face or I would leave black marks on the towel after I’d dry my face.  No more!

Also love this Supergoop lip gloss.  My sister-in-law suggested it a couple weeks before the wedding and was kind enough to order me a tube.  She is a lip gloss guru and was featured in Glamour magazine for owning over 500 lip glosses.  When she makes a recommendation, you know it’s good.

I’m not a lipstick girl.  Chapstick is my staple.  Love the Chapstick vanilla mint, but the moisturizing kind is my back up.  Soft lips is also a favorite and I always get Burt’s Bees in my stocking at Christmas so those are lying around.  Once in awhile I’ll get a sample of lipstick or gloss and trying it out but never really makes an appearance more than once or twice.  This gloss is so moisturizing and not sticky at all!  Plus it has a slight color to it and great flavor.  Used it for the wedding and now it’s my go to lip item for special events.

That’s all for now.

Wedding pictures!

Well I always love blogs with lots of pictures so here's my first attempt at a picture post.  Introducing the tables at our wedding!  The table numbers were one of my favorite details of the wedding.  Each number was a picture of me and PJ at that age.  They were a huge hit during cocktail hour with people walking around to each table to check them out.  Age five was our first day of school.  Age seventeen was both of our senior pictures and age eighteen was us in our cap and gown.  I had planned on collecting them all at the end of the night to save, but when I retrieved them from my parents the next day, a ton were missing!  We found out that alot of people thought they were so cute they took them home!  Flattering, but why does my dad's friend's wife want a picture of me and PJ when we were 25??

Our centerpieces & favors!
The favors were another one of my favorite items.  It's hard to see what the picture on the box is, but it's a jeep with a license plate that says "HUNT U" and the jeep has "Just Married" written on the side with cans tied to the back.  In the front seat is a bride high-fiving a deer and the groom is tied to the back with guns sticking out.  One of the few hunting touches I added for PJ.  He also used to be a huge Jeep fanatic so it worked out.  Inside was a personalized shot glas and mini bottle of flavored Absolute.

Money

Just received a notice from the county bar association that my membership dues need to be sent in.  A whooping $90.  I know $90 doesn't seem like much, but when I'm budgeting paycheck to paycheck, this wasn't something I planned for.  Plus PJ's 30th birthday is in a few weeks and I was thinking of having a party, but of course that equals $$$.  I really don't understand how some people do it.  Friends of ours have new cars, vacations, shopping all the time and they make about the same that we do.  It blows my mind.  Are they racking up credit card debt or are PJ and I just bad at budgeting?  Of course my 80K in undergrad and law school loans are really what kill me.  Worst decision ever.

First Post!

Back in the day, I had a livejournal account.  Nobody read it besides five friends who also used livejournal.  Let's hope I actually have something interesting to say this time.
